This week marks our celebration of World Vision’s 60th anniversary! Please join us by reading World Vision magazine stories related to our history, including “In My Father’s Footsteps,” Marilee Dunker’s moving account of visiting China, where her father found his inspiration to start World Vision (don’t miss her supporting blogs); or “Past Meets Present,” Dean Owen’s report on Korea—North and South—where World Vision began serving orphans and the poor in 1950.
Other stories include “Eyewitness to a Vision,” six first-person essays from key moments in World Vision’s history, and “Rest From Their Labors,” honoring staff members who gave their lives serving in the world’s most difficult places.
You can also watch videos about our history at worldvisiontv.org, including a clip of our founder, Bob Pierce, on “This is Your Life.” Or see a photo slideshow on World Vision’s website.
